It would be best if you could take a screen snapshot of the drawing, save it as a JPEG file, and attach it to your post. You attach it by clicking the 'Choose File' button just below the area where you are entering your message.

It's also a good idea to type your message in lower case - upper case is interpreted as shouting.

Thanking you for both the hint and the advice....my apology ....for beeing not sensetive in my writing .....sorry again

This is my problem for today..trying to creat this shape of steel truss which is rotated also in a therd direction..hoping that it is clear in the attached filr...

If you have no GDL skills, this truss can be made from the side - by placing the side view in plan, using roof elements to create the sloped parts and wall bits or slab bits for the non-sloped parts.

Create a 3D view from the side that you want for the top view and save the 3D model as an object.

This will yield an object that is not parametric but will fill your current need.

See "Object Making With ArchiCAD" - included with the documentation for more detail.

You can do this.

Model the truss in the plan, using slabs or walls for the curved parts and the roofs for the diagonal bracing. Set the materials appropriately. For the exact matching of the height and the incilnation of the bracing, you should probably be best off to do it in the 3D window.

Do I have to make the bracings one by one correct me If I mis- understud....and if this is the case how to fined the exact inclenation and slop direction for each beace?

If you have a laptop, let's meet for a coffee, I'll show you ... much easier than writing

You can also try ArchiForma and extrusions; editable afterwards, can be rotated.

FrameWright is good for this type of work. You can make assemblies from timber and/or steel objects which can be freely cut and rotated in 3D.
