Make sure your segment pattern settings length is set to a fixed length of 4' or probably better equally distributed with a max length of 4'

Then make sure you have an inner post placed with the settings you require.

If that is all one railing in your image and you see a little yellow warning triangle in the settings next to segments, that means you have different settings for each segment.

You will then have to 'Edit' each segment separately, or at the very bottom left when you select the segments in the railing settings, you can 'Reset Custom Segments' and they will all revert to the same settings.

Made it work OK but it is quirky.  I had two models open at the same time with the same stair,

One worked with posts properly placed and one would not let me adjust,

I have had to recreate several times because it is as if the feature for posts got stuck.

I dont have to detail these so OK.

Since the Handicap Pipe Rail for ramps and stairs is common and copied by most all suppliers.

Have you guys considered placing a favorite for stairs and one for a ramp

A rail that matches that standard would help everyone

IF NOT - Does anyone have this they can share with everyone?

The problem was something within the handrail.  I delete the other and rebuilt and it worked   too frustrating when something hangs up that you can not see.

You probably had a little yellow warning triangle, meaning that each segment has individual settings.

Selecting the entire railing and making changes will not affect the entire railing if the yellow warning is active.

You have to 'Edit' and select the segment you want to change.

Or reset them all so they are all the same and the warning goes away.

This was not the issue - the element was just stuck and would not change with any adjustment.  It was broken
