!Restored: Whatever happened to MEP package?

There was an announcement at the San Antonio Users Group last May that GS had an MEP package in beta, that was due to be released in the summer of 2007. Whatever happened to this?

That's how most propaganda works. People forget who said it or what the context was, just that they "heard it somewhere...."

.......I think the point is that Graphisoft DID make the announcement it at a more or less, "official" gathering of users(the San Antonio Users Group last year), so the issue of propaganda doesn't really arise in this case.

It's not the first time that they've announced or indicated something about the development of ArchiCAD only to not follow through on it;

.....even on these here forums.

I disagree. This statement from the CEO should be taken seriously.

vico software / constructor module , i think you might recognize this software, our construction division will take a look at it: personally i think it is too expensive and im still trying to understand how this deal works..it is archicad but no really, it is vico software!! and as the moderator said: ductwork for archicad is there, looks like an improved version @ first glance.

Well ... him being the CEO of Graphisoft, it very much DOES matter who said it.

Well, I'm not sure, maybe, what's it worth to you? Or could we have a poll on that?

You can get the MEP Modeler library for free if you download the Constructor 2008 demo.

Like I said years ago and no one would agree with me.

ArchiCAD will never get to be what it could have been because of Constructor.

If ArchiCAD was all that it could be, there would be no need for Constructor.

There are several good library parts in it. Pipe fittings, etc....

Sadly, Constructor is not made for Apple... Is there another way to get these library parts?

Since hearing about the rumor back before 11 was released about upcoming "free" MEP package, I keep waiting for a big announcement from GS about this new, free feature.

Are they working on tweaking the MEP library parts now since V12 is already released, or are they weighing what to do with it? Should we charge for it, should we release it w/ the next version, etc...?

I guess we'll have to wait...and wait...and wait...
