SEO, Roofs, and 2D Elevation Cover Fill Display

Observe the attached image.

I have a roof that is 16" thick (cathedral ceiling) over the interior space, with an 8" thick overhang. I have created a second roof object and used SEO to subtract that volume from the main roof object.

When I display the result in an elevation (see attached image), the cover fill of the wall behind does not show, and the vector shadows treat the 'subtracted' roof volume as a solid. (Even though I have set that volume to "invisible".)

Is there a solution to this dilemma?

Thanks.

Here is the second image to illustrate....

I should also note that I have used Cadimage Roof Builder here.

have you actually got the second roof (the SEO operator) on a hidden layer, or just a layer set to wireframe? or have you just assigned an "invisible" material to the element?

i think the only method that is really going to work is having the operators that you never want to see on a layer that is never visible in any of your views: i have a "0_SEOperations.t" tool layer specifically for this . . .

brilliant! thank you very much. i assumed that if i had it on a layer that was not visible, that the SEO operation would be cancelled in that view.
