See-through Fills ?

Is it possible to have a fill with transparent background?

For ex. a fill with a square pattern where one sees just the lines, so it can be placed on top of a drawing and see what's behind. Seeing 'through the fill' so to speak.

Aparently this is very easy in AutoCad.
We have a new person in the office making the 'leap' to AC-9, and trying to get some effects on an elevation.

will appreciate any ideas.

Thanks,
Cedric

Sure you can - use the 0 background fill pen for transparency.

You can also use the -1 pen that will match your background color and also translate to an AutoCAD wipeout if you are exporting out to DWG.

Cheers,
