Site elevations done with mesh question

Not applicable
I have done a FARM terrain with the mesh tool with elevations variating from 890FT to 1100FT.

On a side I modeled the existing historical barn to be restored. (With the top of the slab @ 0'-0").

What is the correct thing to do, recess the whole mesh so the "spot" where the barn goes is 4" to 6" bellow my top of slab or should I rise the barn to the real elevation?

My concern in rising the barn is that I will have to work with this crazy numbers ( the top of slab instead of 0'-0" is going to be 935'-0").

If the barn restoration is the prime purpose of the model then its top of slab elevation should typically be at project zero. You should then set one of your reference elevations at sea level relative to this project zero (-935.0 ft). Then set your mesh relative to the sea level reference.
