This is another quick survey to see what kind of internet connection speed ArchiCAD users around the world have access to.

If you have a spare moment would you please visit www.speedtest.net and select a pyramid nearest you to begin the test. It's quite a cool test and after about 30 seconds it will display your download and upload speeds.

If you could reply with a quick post in this format:

City:
Country:
Download Speed: xxxx kbps
Upload Speed: yyyy kbps

I would much appreciate it. If you have multiple locations (eg. home and office), please feel free to include them all.

Thanks for your time!

Cheers,
Link.

As you can imagine from my supreme geekiness quotient, I maintain two ADSL links with separate companies:

Teated at mid-day - always faster at night.

Promised speed: 1.5 megabitz/s
Delivered: 1350 kb/s
Up: 550

Promised: 6.0 megabitz/s
Delivered: 5000 kb/s
Up: 400.

Looking forward to duplexing them on the MacPro dual link Ethernet to see what happens. Smoke, probably.

If this turns out to be a popular thing, we should also do an international test, say, from everywhere to end-of-the-world-for-civilization-as-we-know-it Perth, Australia

And I've even been to Rottnest Island.
Working on great new horror screenplay:

"Night of the Quokkas"

Drawn by the sound of diesel tourist busses stopping for pictures, the normally sedate, but newly-mutated rodents are out for geezer blood.
