The Amazing disappearing wall and dims bug

Eduardo Rolon
Moderator
Three "possible" bugs that I found:

Using ganging and some doors cause the wall to disappear when another wall conects to it.

In some types of doors ganging does not display properly on elevation

The "Glass frosted" panel type extends below the door on elevation

And the NASTY BUG

If you have already dimensioned an elevation/section and change a parameter on a window so that it gives errors ( one frame item to 0 for example), you open the elev and click STOP when the errors start you lose ALL your DIMS for that drawing. If you press continue the dim stay. The mod file does not have dims so put some and try.

eduardo,
I think we all care.
We are all experimenting with AC 10
and compiling our own list of bugs.
I know I am and am paying close attention
to AC-Talk concerning what you and others have found.

I have done some more test and it is not the "ganging" option on either the window or door. Basically if you have a Door (Wood type) next to a Window you get the disappearing wall, if the window does not have the same height as the door and the rough opening is set to 0, or if the "wall type setting" is set to solid (even though the rough opening is not 0).

ejrolon,

I opened your file and it looks fine to me. No disappearing walls.

I would like to know how you get the section/elevation marker to show up as it is ( elevation marker ) It is just like the one in the ArchiCAD template but I can't seem to get my configurations to make it look liked that. I tried to copy and paste it into a different drawing but it changes on me. Any advice on the settings I need to use?

Strange, it looks as if the disapearing bug could be Mac related if the wall displays correctly on WinXp.
The marker is the Elevation Marker_NCS 10, with side fills on.
The font is futura condensed.
marker size is 32
text size is 8

Since the only feedback is that in WinXp it is ok, here's how it looks in OS X.

Ok, tried Internal engine and Hidden line option and it is still gone. So it is not the engine, therefore it must be a Mac OS thing.
