There is a monstrous flaw in ARCHICAD 28.0.2! (Design Options)

When working Design Options with section or facade , the function does not work correctly with 2D elements that are blocked but not hidden.

It's strange that so far no one has paid attention to this.

Fix it soon!

Operating system used: Windows 10

Can you please give a bit more detail about this issue?

When you say

"the function does not work correctly with 2D elements that are blocked but not hidden",

what do you mean exactly?

Can you give us an example, maybe a couple of screenshots that illustrate the problem?

Also, you are stating that this happens in Archicad 28.2.2. Currently, there is no such version. The latest is Archicad 28.0.2. Is that what you mean?

after checking a test file I also have a problem when turning on or off  design option sets in the design option manager then 2D items stay on for previous combinations.

but when i use the design option combinations the problem goes away.

change to "VERVE" design option set in Design options.

P.S.

after rolling the install back, i discovered that the problem is also present in the original installation:

this does not happen in Archicad 27.

This is definitely a flaw in the program (this is not observed in AC27).

I'm not asking for help or any advice. I just want to draw the developers' attention to this bug and ask them to fix it in the next update.

You can also post videos of up to 75 MB is size.

I would recommend keeping the video size below 75 MB and posting it here because then it will be permanently stored on the Community site. In the case it is stored on another website and a link is provided, if the file is removed in the future on the remote site, the video will be permanently lost for the community.

I had a bit of a play around and found that the 2D fills in elevation in different design options do not immediately display (or disappear) when switching design options.

But a rebuild and regenerate does force them to show correctly, CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+R is the shortcut on Windows.

Hopefully drawings on layouts should be fine as they rebuild themselves automatically.
