Trace other story not functioning

Hey, I am working on a project where i have to match up two stories, and up untill recently the "trace story above" has been working fine, and all of a sudden, after I made some changes to the story below, it does not show anymore. I tried to click on the actual "story reference" as well, but that showed something old I thought I had deleted. 

Some terminology might be wrong, but thanks to anyone who knows:)

In the window menu under pallets you will find the trace and reference pallet. That may help.

Anytime I use trace and ref I right click the view I want and specify. This makes it easier to make sure you are looking at what you want.

If you still have the issue, it would be helpful if you posted a few screenshots that illustrate exactly what is happening.
