In the attached graphic you will see a wall with a column partially embedded in it. A roof plan extends completely through both the wall and the column. If I use Trim To Roof or an SEO, I get the result in the middle. This is probably because the column "theoretically" is still as tall as the wall. But this isn't what I would expect. I would expect that the column knew that is was completely sheared off by the roof plane, and therefore, wouldn't cause a cavity in the wall.
