Wall End Tool Extends Beyond Wall

I don't understand this wall tool.

First of all, it extends beyond the height of the wall. See image. I've checked the "wall height" box, but it has no effect. It just passes beyond the wall.

This is ArchiCAD 20

In my experience the wall end tool doesn't recognise priority based connections (PBC) or solid element operations (SEO), so it is necessary to manually adjust them where the wall has been trimmed by PBC or SEO.
