Without knowing the object, you probably have a parameter in the object which is causing it to create a bogie number. For instance if you have a door frame that is thicker than the door opening the object will try to to something impossible. The object often stops this but not always.
If there are more than one instance of the object, track it down by selectively choosing them. If it is not obvious which parameter is causing the problem it may be quicker to place a default version of it and reset as needed.
