I seem to recall seeing a thread here recently (a search may find it) saying that the turning in of finishes is a 2D thing, and not actually modeled.

In addition to my earlier query , I was trying to subtract my floor from the composite walls - the floor is not composite , simple slab - and after subtraction it doesn't show the contours of my slab at the intersecting area.

That is probably because your slab has the same fill pattern as your studs. change your slab to another pattern to see if it worksé
