X refs & text

Our office typically xrefs surveys into ArchiCad rather than merge because our landscape dept. uses the same survey in a different program. We want any changes to the base survey to show up in all programs.

The text in the survey, a ttf type font, does not change size in proportion to the size of the drawing when xrefed into Archicad and the scale is changed. The base survey is always at actual size. (one foot equals one foot)

Is there any way to accomplish this either through the translator, or should I just block out all the text from the original survey and then merge it into ArchiCad.

I think somehow we are making this too complicated.
Using ArchiCad version 8.1.

Happy new year!!!!

It does not, because in ArchiCAD the text is defined as a printing size at a given scale. Therefore, you should Xref at a scale that the Xref was made for in AutoCAD. Subsequent scale changes will resize all the text as required.
