custom window opening or wallhole does not work

urgent!!!!!!!i am working in archicad 16. i am trying to model a custom window but the wallhole opening does not follow the shape of the window. i do have a wall hole slab that follows the contour of the window. when i try to save my window , i go to libraries and objects , than to save selection as, than to window, i give the window a new name, it asks me where to save and i chose embedded libraby, however the option button next to the name of the window does not work so i cant choose editable GDL script. therefore even if i save my window the wall hole does not work. all i get is a standard rectangular wall hole with my new window in it. The ID of the slab for the wall hole needs to be "WALLHOLE", see this ArchiCAD-Wiki article:
CustomShapeDoorWindow
The 3D Script will be in an editable format.

You should add a Signature to your Profile (click the Profile button near the top of this page) with your ArchiCAD version and operating system (see mine for an example) for more accurate help in this forum.

Hello, I'm having the same problem.. although I cannot understand what you are talking about GDL script etc..
I created a window from slabs, I saved it as window, it has an arc on top, and i place it in the wall and the wallhole is rectangular.
How can I solve this?

Thank you in advance..

Checking the button makes it editable/customizable later, (but only if you want to), nothing to worry about now.
Did you possibly forget to make your wallhole slab with an arc on top?

I could have forgotten it, its true 😉 but I didn't!!
Although, is it possible to have this problem because I made the arc with another way? Is there a specific way to make it?

Thank you!

Have you created a slab the shape of the desired opening in the wall with the ID WALLHOLE and saved it as part of the other slabs that will be the window?

Create your window (whatever shape) with slabs - which it sounds like you have done.
Now model another slab over these window slabs that follows the shape that you want to cut in the wall (i.e the perimeter).
Give this slab an ID of WALLHOLE - select the slab and set this in the info box or the slab settings dialogue.
Now select all the slabs and save as a window object.

The slab with the ID of WALLHOLE will be automatically converted into the WALLHOLE command in the 3D script and there will be no slab left behind.
