is there a minimum and maximum length for dormers? what are the implications?

how do you cut a hole in the roof? i have used the roof tool and not a slab tool and there is just the 'trim to roof' tool for the walls.

Its fun. just select the roof, click on the roof tool, and draw the hole. You can do the same thing for cutting holes in a slab.

thanks. i don't the "hole in roof" for ac7 version. anyways, i managed to create a hole on the roof using the spacebar. thanks.

The same hole you can make in the slab, fill, zone ...

As to the dormers - there is a very good tutorial on them in the ArchiGuide Archives! Take a look!
