I have been trying to create a roof with an angled ridge. (see sketch-up screenshot)
I’ve been searching everywhere on how to do it, but i can not seem to find it.
any directions on how to pull this off are appreciated.

one option is to use the mesh to roof add-on, search for goodies... it's free.

model the mesh to suit without thickness, then apply add-on.

another way is to use two meshes one top and another at the bottom, place a slab in between and then use solid element operations to trim the slab to suit... benefit is that you can vary the section / thickness across your roof structure and it can be adjusted as you go along relatively easily by changing the meshes.

Third option is to use the Morph tool to recreate it or save a SU file with only the roof, open it in AC and then convert to morph.

see here for an example

Does rotating the pivot line solves your problem? (in other words... make your ridge anything but parallel to the pivot line)

If you are making a flat roof, this is the way to go. If you have/want leveled edges, but want an angled ridge, then that is complex geometry that would need to be solved in some other way.

Hope that helps.

How about the method described here?

Can that method be used to help you at all?

It's an old post, but should still be valid.

Cheers,
