As opposed to render to screen and then save to file?

Use Publisher in AC.

having just got to grips with archicad the next challenge is to layout my plans, views, sketches etc, so the next challenge is plot maker.

Ive rendered a sketch, whats the best way to get this sketch saved as a bmp.? When i goto publish its not there to choose like the plans and sections are. Normal un rendered 3d views are but not my rendered sketchs. Any clues?

Thanks Bry
Save as .PMK (dot pmk file)
Open the file with Plotmaker.
Save as filename.BMP which is one of the options available.

When you have the 3D view set up in the 3D window, save it as a view in the Navigator. Make sure to set the rendering properties first. Choose Photorendering window for the output.

Use the saved 3D view in the Publisher.

Done.

your missing the point slightly, i know how to save certiain views to bmp etc, What i cannot do i save my rendered view. Should the rendered view appear in the list currently headed by generic perspective, generic axonometric, untitled object, untitled path, and untitled scene etc. Its not, so i cannot select it to save as a bmp etc. I can select story 1 etc#

thanks

Ah, this is sounding more like it. im showing you the current scenario. ok so saving that sketch render will allow me to do it. I can see one save button on the right window of the navigator just under "view set publishing properties", however this is bringing up a cannot save message.

hmm just as i rechecked to see what the exact message was it saved it, how odd. Just got to get used to this one.

Ill try a few more tests

ok sorted it. In revit you save the current view where as in archicad you have one set view to alter, you then save that one view. Prob amkes it harder if you want to adjust an old render without re doing it.
