roof edge problems

Hello everyone,

I have a small problem with my roof edge angle. I have attached a an isometric view. As you can see the fascia does not connect to the other fascia. I have created a roof with a perpendicular roof edge angle. My soffits are not cleaning up the way I want either. I do, however, understand why the images are like they are...yet they do not come out the way I would like them. The images attached show the soffits after "trim to roof".

I have tried to extend(overlap) the 2 roofs so that the soffits clean up...but this does not produce the corrct outcome either.

Any help would be appreciated.

Robert,

Glad to help, or pass it on is more like it. The give away on a good miter/roof joint is that untrimmed wall, roof, column......or even the smallest sliver of it. That feature is worth it's weight in gold!

The final product...This roof has a perpendicular roof edge. The valley intersection as well as the ridge intersections needed to be mitered to appear and function properly. The Soffit/fascia is just a wall, trimmed to roof. We will detail it later in the large scale details.

Thanks for everyone input on this one.
