surface painter not working on roof edge

I a trying to use the surface painter to turn a roof edge from gray to white. For some reason it will not work on the roof edge. I can click on any other surface and turn it white but not the roof edge.

Which version are you using?

It works for me in Ac28.

Hi @Dave Brach

Try using Custom Edge Settings:

Clic on the roof edge.
Pet Palette appears.
Clic on Surface and choose from dropping list.
