surface painter not working on roof edge

I a trying to use the surface painter to turn a roof edge from gray to white.  For some reason it will not work on the roof edge.  I can click on any other surface and turn it white but not the roof edge.

Hi @Dave Brach

Try using Custom Edge Settings:

  1. Clic on the roof edge.
  2. Pet Palette appears.
  3. Clic on Surface and choose from dropping list.

Which version are you using?

It works for me in Ac28.

Hi this is happening to me again.  See attached video.  Ricardo, thank you for the suggestion but I'm referring specifically to the surface painter tool.

Hi @Dave Brach

You are right. I've done my own tests too with roof and shell tools (see the video below). If you split the roof planes the surface painter tool doesn't work on the edges but you can apply the surface using override surface for each invididual edge or for all of them, if you wish.

I believe this is a bug that the Surface Painter does not work on edges of Single-Plane Roofs that wer created by converting Complex Roofs into Single-Plane Roofs. (Even if it works by setting the Surface override in the Settings Dialog.) I have now tried it in Ac29, and the bug is prevsent there as well.

Could you guys report this bug to your local resellers?
