slab offset

I want to draw a slab 6mm offset from the exterior walls. This is to create a capillary break from the exterior cladding. How can I do this?

Select the slab you want to offset
Click on one of the nodes
A pet palette appears select the offset edges icon and offset
Add computer specs and AC version to your signature

Use the Magic Wand with the slab tool selected on the exterior face of the walls to have ArchiCAD automatically create the slab, then follow Jae's instructions.

... that you can invoke BEFORE you start drawing or tracing the outline, and specify the offset when you finish it. For best results, activate Coordinate box and Control box and forget the Tricker.

Bad memories Now it mostly works, but still, the functionality of the Coordinate/Control box is poorly implemented in the Toolbars. No wonder people say you can't draft in ArchiCAD ...
