stairmaker question

Is there a way to create a single run of a stair with a slab (landing) at each end? i tried to create a custom stair and the only way i could get a slab was to use a u-return with landing. i am trying to model it how it is built. landing - riser - landing
any help would be appreciated

If I understand your question correctly you want something like the picture attached below.
You need to select Concrete stair in the library and play with "Lower/Upper Joint length" under Parameters.
