how can I change the default text size which appers when checking the "show area text" for a fill ?
I am interested in the default setting, not in changing it after it is displayed.

select the fill and double click the text ("A" symbol) in the tool box.
also, if you search carefully there is a hotspot just to the left and base of the fill text.

I thought it used the current settings of the Text tool for the Fill Area.

AFAIK, you have to set an existing fill text as described and then option/alt click it to make it the default.

... so right click on it, and adjust the fill text settings.

Interesting side note here (and a mini-tip! 😞 With all forms of dimensions and fills, if you use your arrow tool to 'swipe' over the text and be sure not to select the fill boundary or dimension line, then you will select just the text. Obviously this could be made easier, and has been wished for, but for now, this makes selecting fill/dim texts easier.

Cheers,

thanks for the answers, but i knew how to modify it after - selecting the hotspot.
That is why I asked for a default setting that can be changed.
