Hi there!
I have been experiencing issues with a workflow where what i actually need to do is move the objects (trees) which are already placed in Archicad to their appropriate z position.
To do so i link the objects, deconstruct them, extract their settings and use these together with the new position (with all parameters extracted via an excel sheet) to generate new objects. It worked fine a couple of times, now the construct object settings component returns nulls instead of correct object settings…
Anyone else with a similar experience?

Could you share some screenshots to describe your case? I’m not completely sure I understood it, but I think the issue might be that the Grasshopper–Archicad Live Connection isn’t bidirectional like Revit Dynamo. Using the same element to extract and replace parameters can lead to conflicts.

The Archicad-Grasshopper Connection can modify only Archicad elements it created.
Actually, what happens is that it deletes the previous version of the element and regenerates it.
It cannot modify Archicad elements it did not create.

Hi Laszlo,
I cannot select my custom (grasshopper editable) doors from the embedded library in the door settings node.
So when I use the favourite input it works.
I deconstruct it, take the settings and want to create a new door with grashopper settings (to be able to manipulate ID and Property Settings). But the settings node just replaces my custom library part with the first object in the archicad standard library.
There must be a way tu use the editable library parts in grasshopper without the favourites Input.
