sampling a 3D point in AC

I noticed an issue with placing AC points into GH.

The point node parameter allows you to select a 3d point in AC and show it in GH, but this occurs in two ways:

1) You select a point in AC on an already existing hotspot of some element in AC. In this scenario, the 3d point coordinates in GH appear correctly, but this also means that the point is 'tied' to the element so if you move it in AC the point will also change. This is not always desirable.

2) You select an 'empty' location in AC, and in this scenario the GH point appears as 0,0,0. No matter which location you click, the GH coordinates keep being 0,0,0. Not sure why this is happening. (the point is selected from a plan view in AC).

Any ideas about this issue?
Thanks

Hi yafimski,

I revisited this topic because I had an idea of how to solve this situation.
I have created a simple GDL Object, which is a single 3D Point. Using this you will be able to input a single 3D Point to Grasshopper without it having to be associated to a point on an ARCHICAD construction element.
Find the GDL Object in the attached ZIP file.

I am not sure this is possible to do at all. The main reason being that ARCHICAD does not have a 3D Hotspot element, something that would simply place a point in space somewhere.
I think in that case the point will always be associated to an element.
