Archicad 29 – USA Template availability?

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know when the Archicad 29 USA Template will be released?

When I click “Check for Online Template” in Archicad 29, it says it cannot fetch the list of available templates, and the only option I currently see is the Generic template.

Same here...did AC stop making the US version?

Are you both saying that you do not see the choice of two USA templates on startup as shown here (what I see)?

Correct...see the attached screen shot.

If you are running AC 29 USA and your IP address is in North America (no VPN directing it elsewhere), I can’t imagine why I could get the templates and you can’t.   Sounds like you need to call Graphisoft North American technical support.

There is a known issue affecting some Windows users in Archicad 29, where localized Online Templates may not appear in the Check for Templates Online list. 

 

For now, you can manually download the localized Online Templates from Graphisoft’s Download page:

  • For users seeking a language version other than the USA, ensure that you select the desired language from the 'Language version' drop-down.

I’m running Archicad 29 USA (Education version) in Cambridge, MA, and I am not using a VPN.

 

I understand from Graphisoft’s documentation that Archicad 29 USA Templates 1 and 2 are temporary, and that the final USA template is expected to be released shortly after Library Update 1, which has already been issued. However, the updated/final Archicad 29 USA template does not seem to be available yet.

For reference, this is the article I’m following:

I was able to download Archicad 29 USA Template 2 and used it for my project during the past semester. However, I was not able to download Archicad 29 USA Template 1—the download button consistently returns a “page not found” error. I’ve attached a screenshot showing this issue.

 

That said, since both Template 1 and 2 are described as temporary, my main question is:

When is the final Archicad 29 USA template expected to be released?

Any updates on resolving this issue?

From my testing, it appears that the main problem is that the download buttons for the Archicad 29 USA templates consistently return a “page not found / BlobNotFound” error, even though the templates are listed as valid.

Here is what I have observed so far:

  • The Online Hosted Templates service is correctly registered in the Windows Registry.

  • Archicad successfully retrieves the template metadata (both Template 1 and Template 2 appear as valid).

  • However, when attempting to download either template, the generated links resolve to URLs that return BlobNotFound errors.

  • I also followed the troubleshooting steps described in this article:

    However, the parameters shown in my case differ from those described in the article (see attached screenshots).

  • Even when manually opening the template URLs retrieved from the registry/service response, the same error occurs for both Template 1 and Template 2.

I’ve attached screenshots showing:

  • The registry configuration

  • The service response listing both templates as valid

  • The resulting BlobNotFound error pages when accessing the download URLs

At this point, it seems that the templates are being advertised correctly by the service, but the actual files are either missing or not accessible on the CDN.

Could you please advise:

  • Whether it is possible to update or restore the missing links, or rerun the CDN test?

  • And whether there is an expected timeline for a fix?
