SOLVED!

Surfaces need more parameters.

Hello,

This is more of a rant than it is a question but here it goes.

There are 3 types of schedules available in ArchiCAD, Elements, Components and Surfaces. The first 2 are deffinetly wider in scope, but Surfaces has one important relevant parameter, Exposed Area.

This parameter is usefull, but a major drawback is that the Surfaces themselves lack in propertyes to be listed. Most of a Surface's properties have to do with how it looks or how it's rendered in 2D and 3D. For listing, the only relevant property is its name. Surfaces dont even have a ID box, let alone a description box or the posibility to add other information to them or to assign a Classification system to them or Properties. I'm shure a ID box isn't so hard to implement, it dosen't even have to be a new version of ArchiCAD, it could just be a update, a fix, something like that.

Sorry for the outburst.

You should make a wish in the Wishlist so people can vote for it and if it gets enough votes within a specific amount of time it will be submitted to Graphisoft:

I've never submited a wish before so I'm not shure if I'm doing something wrong, but the submit a wish button is greyed out and I also cant vote on other wishes. Any ideas why? Thank you.

The FAQ's might help.
