Zone Volume not calculated

What setting could be causing the volume not to calculate for the zone stamp ? I hope this is not another Bug.

Steve,

It is not a general issue being reported to us. We would need to know more about the actual project to understand whether this is a Bug or condition in the project that is causing the result. I will create a case in my department and email you with a link to upload the file if you please.

I think it is settings of some kind. If I copy the zone to a place outside of the walls, the copied zone does display the volume in the zone stamp. ?

I have sent you a .pla to check it out.

it must have been an update issue. It works as expected now an I have not make any changes to the settings. I did move some walls in that zone and manually adjusted the zone to fit the room. Now it works fine. ?

I am having the same issue: the zone tool will not calculate volume.

The volume calc has always been available in the past.

I've been trying for 20 minutes to post an image and it will not post.

Just happened upon something that I have not seen documented elsewhere.

This may only be an issue for a user who has made a major upgrade from an older version.

Go to Options>Element Attributes>Zone Categories

The Zone Categories window opens.

In the drop down immediately below the bar containing "Edit Selected Category", make sure that some type of valid zone stamp is selected. Mine had something like "Blablabla IFC" there. When I hit the dropdown, that option totally disappeared and these options appeared:

Basic Zone Stamp
Zone Stamp 1 19
Zone Stamp 2 19

Basic Zone Stamp doesn't really have any options for content, but the other two do.

Click the dropdown for "Content Order" inside the Parameter Default Values. If you click on any of the numbered items in that list, you'll get a dropdown that allows you to select Volume as an option.

And what twisted sense of humor set up "Vapor Barrier" as the fill type? I've had to go in and change that about 8000 times over the past decade.

So, what it looks like is that I had some holdover old Zone Stamp from AC12 that didn't want to let go.

I spoke too soon. Can't get any of the text controls to work.
