Internal error: unable to manipulate Archicad automates

'Internal error: unable to manipulate Archicad automates' is the warning message I got when overwriting some existing profiles with those in an .aat file, in Attribute Manager. Forgot to screenshot.
What should I expect?

If the profiles were still overwritten I don't think I would worry too much.
But I would be sure to save a copy of the file (especially the BPN file before the overwrite if you have it) so you have something to fall back on.

I have never seen that message before.
Was the AAT file saved from the same or older version to the file you were overwriting?
i.e. you weren't trying to overwrite a version 21 AAT file into a version 20 job?
I am just guessing here.
