An Unknown Error Happend: Cannot connect to BIMCloud

Hi Everyone,

Last week our uni issued the new BIM server for our graduation project. I'm able to login on the BIMCloud browser website, however, when connecting to the server on Archicad27 the server diagnostics indicate the BIMCloud server is accessible. When I try to log-in, it gives me the error:

An Unknown Error Happend: Cannot connect to BIMCloud

Other Teammates also use MacOS and have no problem logging in. The server is only available on version 27 Could this be a user-specific issue, or is this something faulty with my server connection?

Any help is greatly appreciated!! Thanks.

@lenne_koppers, please contact your local Graphisoft support representative. Archicad logs contains the details of the connection issue, so further investigation based on them will surely help.

Thank you very much, I'll sent the logs to my representative.

Has there been a solution to this problem? At our office we are experiencing a similar issue.

If you are on a Mac, do the below:

Add Archicad 27 to 'Full Disk Access' on the device, and allowing Archicad 27 through the local network.

May be with the update on MacOS, it has blocked the access.

Worked for us.

We're having this issue on a new macbook pro right now. User can login via direct IP to the Bimcloud manager, but has the same error as above when trying to login through the Bimcloud system. Any advice???? Already got full write access to every archicad version on this computer.

For whatever reason, with absolutely no change, this issue resolved itself in a day or two. I'm assuming it's some sort of DNS flushing or the like (although it certainly doesn't present itself as such).

I even created a new 'test' user and login on the bimcloud server to see if that worked but no dice. You could see that the credentials were entered correctly as if you got them wrong a wrong password dialogue comes up, but if you get it correct you just get the unable to login error as the OP stated. Pretty damned frustrating and stopped work on this project dead in it's tracks.

Good luck to anyone else with this issue as Graphisoft could not suggest any fixes either. We just had to wait a few days and it was fixed... Not really good enough.
