License Delivery maintenance is expected to occur on Saturday, November 30, between 8 AM and 11 AM CET. This may cause a short 3-hours outage in which license-related tasks: license key upload, download, update, SSA validation, access to the license pool and Graphisoft ID authentication may not function properly. Problem with Teamwork views linked to PLN file

I have a large project with a teamwork file and several pln files. To manage the drawings i created a separate PLN file just for the drawings, where i have linked the views from the various files.
Today when i wanted to update the views of the Teamwork file, i get this error message: "Unsent changes in your source project are preventing the status checking process.
Go to the project and send your changes to the Server, then press the Check Status command again in the current project."

I did Send and Receive a lot of times, but to no avail, i cannot update my views. Even if i delete them and re-link them i get a blank drawing.

What can i do???

don't be sorry... it's my fault, i wasn't very clear.

When i open the PLN files and save them to the same build as the file containing the layouts the problem is solved. No error messages.

I don't remember if this happened with the previous builds...

Any chance i could be getting an answer for GS on this issue???

They were supposed to have found the problem... (thats what they said on the bug fixes for build 3600) but nothing...

We have an deadline tomorrow and we are struggling to update lined views!!!

First of all, the problem still persists on AC 14! (i.e. when updating linked views to a PLN from a TW project, i get an error message "Unsent changes are preventing the update of the view")

One thing I noticed: When opening the solo file with the linked views and linking from the TW file, AC automatically Joins to the TW project the user from who's the computer the solo file is opened.
If I open the BIM server window i see that the other user has joined the project. But when i open my TW local copy the other user that joined is not on the list (not even as offline)

Does all this make sense?

I don't know if this would lead to a solution but how are the user access to projects set up in your BIM Server Manager? Are projects restricted to specific users or set for Everyone to join? Would going one way or the other be of any help?

Yes, all projects are set for everyone to join. But that is not the problem.

I was just asking if it is normal for a user that has not joined the project, to get automatically (and without any warning) joined to the project, only because he is linking views to the solo PLN file from the TW file.

And after being joined (and thus appearing to the BIM server project settings) to not appear to the teamwork palette to other users working on the project...

Achille,
did you ever get an answer on this one from GS?
I'm getting the same Error message while loading from another TW files viewmaps into mine.

Thing is.....only a few of my users get it while others (myself included) don't.

Same exact error message.
AC tries to open the viewmap coming in from another TW file, it hangs, then error message comes up and doesn't update the sheet.

What's the fix Graphisoft?
What gives here?
Please help.

No, I never got a straightforward answer.

But, what i have discovered is that instead of using send/receive if I use just "send" the views are updated. For some reason the "send/receive" command messes up the whole thing, and the file with the drawings "thinks" that there are unsent changes...

My advice in general when using TW: Stop using the "Send/Receive" command. Use first "send" then "receive". Saves a lot of trouble.

OK, so new problem with linked views from TW file to pln file...

This time i get this:

I link drawings to the pln file, but when i reopen the pln, all links are broken, and i cannot update the views. I have to re-link them each and every single time... If i open the Drawing Manager i get this new error message "Server Offline" but my server is NOT offline at all!

What to do?

FYI, the problem appears to have a solution easier than expected... (discovered it by myself...) if you ever face a similar situation, just click on the "Check status" button on the top left of the Drawing Manager window... this solves the problem, and the views appear linked again, they are again updatable etc...

but... i have a question... why when i open the file with the linked views on another computer i get on the path a parenthesis with the name of the user which i don't see when opening the file on my computer... see attached images... why is that?

OK, so 10 years after, and while the problem had disappeared in recent AC versions, the problem re-appeared with AC 24!

I get the same error message "Unsent changes in your source project are preventing the status checking process"

No matter how many times I send changes, me and all other members there there seems to be unsent changes.
Also I noticed that in the teamwork open dialog box, 3 projects including the one that is giving me the problem, appear with unsent changes...

Any solutions?
