"Share" button is grayed out - Connections are OK

I can connect to the remote BIMserver (over VPN), but when I try to share a project, the "share"-button is grayed out.

I opened the necessary ports on my mac & router (18008 & 1228), but nothing helps (not even turning off firewall temporarily).

Any Ideas on what might be wrong?

PS: working within the servers network (no VPN) doesn't change this...

As you can see on the screenshot, making and managing folders is possible...

Hi B.E.A.T.

I had the same issue and have been pulling hairs all day..

I have fixed it my end.. :]

Basically I was getting an error message when I uninstall the BIM Cloud Module. I installed / uninstalled plenty of times.

For some reason when I tried to reinstall BIM Server I would get an error message re BIM Cloud. Same for uninstall.

I think that dropped some files deep in the system that messed things up.

I did this.

Delete any
/ library /preference/com.graphisoft.BIMcloud.plist ish files
/ library / LaunchDaemon / *graphisoft* files
/ users / shared / graphisoft files

Then run 'uninstall BIM server'

Then run disk utility (assuming Mac) and repair permissions.

Then restart.

Then reinstall BIM server.

Hope this helps.

I am having the exact same problem. I have tried two different Windows Server installations on different instances in the Amazon EC2 cloud without success. Everything else is working and the Manager is available over the web. Connections are good according to attached image.

Problem 1
I can't share a project because the shared button is greyed out as above.

Problem 2
I can´t upload a library and I am experiencing the same result as B.E.A.T showed in his image above.

Unfortunately I cannot find any solution to these problems in the quoted articles http://helpcenter.graphisoft.com/?p=40585

It is really important for me to solve this problem. Any suggestions?[/img]

It might be really basic, but please double-check that the BIM Server has been already activated.

Connect to it via a browser, modules, BIM Server Manager, Licenses.

- But there is no Host Server (See image)

I still can't use share project or upload Library

On the modules tab do you have the v18 module listed next to the BIM Server Manager?
