I just switched over to a macbook pro (and upgraded to OS 10.5 at the same time). Now when i am producing my shadow/sun studies (rendering mode), I crash right when hit the Save button (actually the 'Choose' button in the dialog box). I've tried both the internal and lightworks engine with the same result.
Has anyone ever experienced/fixed this or have any clues for a work-around? is it a 10.5, labtop, or AC11 issue? thanks.

Is it ArchiCAD or the Mac that crashes? If AC, did bug reporter appear?
In any case, check your Mac console messages and logs for any hints - it could be a graphics issue with 10.5 or some other non-AC thing.
:
cmd-space (activate spotlight), type "cons" (console should be highlighted), then enter key.
Look at the 'All Messages' log from the time of the crash - reproduce the crash if necessary - to see if any hint is there. If it is an OS X rash, there may be a CrashReporter or Panic log under /Library/Logs to give you a hint.

Oops. Ignore my last post for the moment: are you trying to save the animation in QuickTime format? Try another format, or try with no compression. I think there is/was an issue with a QT update.

yep. i've tried different formats: jpegs and tiffs and reduced to 'thousands of colors'. I;ve also tried both photo rendering and 3D window options. and now i've tried other AC11 files too. it seems to be a conflict between 10.5.2/macbook pro and AC11 and therefore not file related...

So, I'd have to wonder about a macbook pro issue, graphics adapater, or something. Time to check those console messages and logs for some hint, I think. I really doubt it is anything to do with ArchiCAD itself.
