Is there any way to make glass transparent in elevation views and drawing? I can't seem to get that to work. The glass shows transparent in the 3D view.

I must be working too hard and getting too tired. I can't remember if this was added to the wish list, but it would be nice to be able to set transparency separately in 3D and S/E; perhaps even set individually in each S/E. If not it should be added. Do you recall if it was?

When I first saw it and teach it, one was apologising to students about how Open GDL cant do glass.
Having used Sketchup and ArchiShock 3D, both of which use Glass, its clear that there's something very wrong with ArchiCADs 3D Open GL drawn Glass - both transparent and not, and not with the Open GL.
I was very obvious (even to the GS representatives) at the Winter School after successive demonstrations of ArchiShock 3D and sketchup.

I agree fully with DNC on the OpenGL transparency - it is all or nothing, which is a serious drawback for otherwise excellent interactivity of the OpenGL mode.

Matthew wrote:In essence you already can achieve this with the use of your view sets. Transparency in Shading is actually a display option that is saved when you define your views. Have it on when defining your 3D views and off when defining S/E windows. If you want it on for certain S/E windows make sure it's on for these off for the one you don't.

Make sure you do a rebuild of the elevation - the view change should do it.
