HELP: Textures Not Aligning

gpowless
Advocate
Hi,

For some reason over the past little while I haven't been able to get some textures to align. The most notable occurs with the face of the slab not matching the siding. This usually only occurs on 2 of the four typical sides of a building.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Gregg

(added in edit): I should add that in the past I was aware that this would occur if the slab was not perfectly aligned with the wall. As well I have set the textures of all elements to 0,0,0 to no avail.....

I have noticed the same behaviour, especially in OpenGL mode. As the same happens in elevations and rendering, regardless of the engine, it probably means that the problem is deeper.

Also had quite a bit of problems with curved walls, where textures sometimes resized themselves horizontally.

Did not have time to test more, as a bunch of dedalines did not whooosh past ... but bared their teeth ...

gpowless,
Have you tried using the texture editing tools under the edit menu?
See the attached image.

HTH.

Mmmm,
Seems strange. I can get it to work as it should. Am I missing something?

It actually depends on which direction the walls were modeled. Turn off Options>Clean Wall & Beam Intersections and check the directions of the walls. I got 20 bucks that says they were modeled in opposite directions.

Cheers,

Yeah, I'm confused as well as to how these problems would arise... I've yet to encounter an alignment problem that I couldn't fix, but rarely need to do anything special.

Agrrr,
I tried it and still got it to work. What am I doing wrong/right?

I, like Karl, have never had a problem with texture alignment.

He He,
Link,
I public promise you that I have in no way altered any geometry in the file. All I have done is a texture alignment.

Cheers.
