Hey guys and girls, just wondering (particularly dwight) if anyone can tell me how to get the lined type sunlight through windows.
Venetian blinds might do the job?

Like all good programs, community is the key. ArchiCAD-TALK is an excellent example of, "much to the credit of GS", user based involvement. Maxon likewise has a community.

Since you have a demo version of the software, tutorial files are very useful since they are half built already. Here is a link to some wild example files by Jeremy:

And here are some volumetric samples you can render yourself.

You're welcome cowboy,

While you are surfing this weekend, try these high-end examples:

Looks like the box has a light panel inside of it, instead of light shining across the room, onto the glsss then finally onto the floor. There are so many ways to do the variation. Do you keep your computer on for days, while you test C4D? Without the save feature in the demo I used to do that sometimes.

One thing that is very productive - open several files and cut & past items between them to create a whole new scene. Think of null items as folders, drag what you want into a null object item and then colapse it, select - copy then paste into a new document. Texture missing?, Go to preferences, Texture Path - then find the folder it needs. There are so many things about C4D that make life simple, finding them the first time can some times be difficult.
