i am trying to publish some floor plans for a brochure. i tried to publish as pdf at 1200 dpi, but when i open it in photoshop, the lines are gray and flat, and some are missing.

no i don't need jpegs in particular, but i do need some common format that many programs will open. also, i'm looking for a process without so many steps.
do you know of any vectorized drawings outputs read by any media browser or program that i can eventually use in photoshop?
