vectoral hatching lines

Hi guys
I have a question about vectorial hatching for 3D images.
When I have an exterior cladding or siding of wood on a building with vertical or horizontal lines using vectorial hatching, I have the problem that as the lines get closer together as the wall recedes into the distance, merge making the wall black with lines. Does anyone know of a way to make the lines reduce in intensity as they merge into the distance??

Merci

I hope this image explains what I mean more clearly. The facade on the right is turned black with vectoral hatching... I want to be able to still see the cladding, but with the lines losing their intensity as they recede into the distance, as in real life.

There is no wat that I know of to get around this with 3D vector fills. They are really for elevations and not that suited to perspective views. Better to render with material textures.

Can you try this with light grey lines, perhaps?

This way the wall would go grey rather than black. Better, but still not good. I suppose if you coordinate the pen color to the material...

If it is an option, try to increase the distance between the lines of the 3D vectorial hatch.
Also, rotate your perspective view to the right so more is seen from the right side of the building.
Also, you may try to increase the resolution of your screen and the size of your 3D Window so there are more pixels to display those lines.

thanks for your replies guys

Ive tried changing the line colour but as stated you end up with a grey blob instead of a black one.

Mathhew, Your idea to change the material could be interesting, I hadnt thought of that, but im worried it will be a lot of fiddling around in photoshop.

I cant change the line widths because I want to represent the cladding material as it is.

Ive tried changing the angle but its very difficult to get the shot I want without the vectoral problems.

Thanks for the hint about resolution size, I will play around with that and see what happens. Hopefuly this will also help with anti aliasing resolutions too for the lines.

Ive decided that I will use the approach of a sketch render over a coloured 3D document or render to get the effect I want.

Splitlid, what to do when the client asks for "low budget but architectural"?

and then I remembered Dwights avatar...

Another idea would be to make a special material for the problem wall view angle with no hatching.
