Snap to pdf

I want to be able to snap to pdf!

I had to work with pdfs recently using Autocad and it had this function, which was really useful. According to me it snapped at about 2 mm accuracy, which was enough.

Stefan, if you have Aotocad, you can use the span option there.

I have AutoCAD at work, but wanted to avoid it, since I'm determined to do it inside ArchiCAD from the start. But the performance in the viewport when using a PDF drawing from a CAD program is not smooth at all... So I'm a but frustrated with the process, which could be much more elegant. At least, with DWG XRefs, you can turn off layers you don't need and easily snap to points. But ArchiCAD is not that efficient with extensive amounts of 2D elements (lines, hatches, dimensions, text).

My laptop was fast once, but that was in August 2008...
