I wish the updates wouldn't completely reset all of our machine-specific settings. Every time we update I have to listen to every designer in my department complain about losing their settings.
have you tried copying the lasting prefs from the earlier version into the prefs folder for the new version? seems to me I've seen someone post a few times how to do that...
I thought about that, but when we're talking about 30 users in three different cities, that's a lot of work. It seems to me that if it's a patch, it could easily ignore the lasting preferences, unless it's the preferences system that is being patched.
In full agreement.. hard to believe updates work this way.. almost as if none of the programmers have ever updated... As has been said a billion times, given ACs' age some flaws are inexcusable..
