ArchiLogs and the opening sometimes takes it's shape from the log height
and is thus dependent on, apart from the log height, whether the wall
starts with half a log or a full one. ...

macro...In the meantime, You wouldn't happen to have a remedy for
another (possible) bug in PROJECT2{4} that draws the projected (i.e. not
cut) line of an opening created with CUTF...
