Which of the BIMx variants can I print pdf from? I didn't find "print" in the web app nor the windows app.

You can print from the mobile apps, and since last September, it's free. See this announcement in BIMx News. Here, you can also see we gradually added several features to the web&desktop apps in the last year; PDF export is next in line.

Hi @Roland Szabo is / will it possible to toggle disable / enable of the PDF export function when we Publish from Archicad?
We regularly give clients & other stakeholders a BIMx to review the full project and even have them use this as a base for feedback, etc.

But we need to be able to control if & when they can reproduce / distribute our drawings.

This was very possible & easy with the BIMx features before.

Does the absence of a "print" option in both the web app and Windows app mean that PDF printing is not supported in those versions

Roland said in his post that PDF export (I assume printing) is next in line for web & desktop applications.

PDF export is already available on web&desktop, see BIMx News. PDF printing is supported by the PDF export feature. This way, you to customize the exported document's print settings on your computer according to your known and preferred method (instead of some limited print settings in BIMx).

Francois, does adding legal notes (or even watermarks) to your layouts address your concern? We don't plan to add such a PDF export control to the BIMx publishing settings of Archicad - which are used to define the content of Hyper-models. In the past years, anyone has had the opportunity to print from BIMx Mobile, e.g., with BIMx Pro Subscription purchased via Apple/Google or even without paying for it in the 2-week free trial.

I second this feature: I'm sure we've all encountered clients who need "persuading" from time to time to pay their bills promptly (or at all ! ). BIMx is an excellent means of sharing the project without giving direct access to the BIM model. A control on the ability to export, or not, PDFs contained in the BIMx file would be very beneficial.

(when working internationally, legal notes and watermarks can be as effective as a chocolate fireguard...)

I’m also having trouble finding the PDF print option in BIMx PRO on Windows. Can anyone help with how to access this feature or provide a workaround?

@TatumJaylen simply use the Ctrl+P shortcut. 🙂

@TatumJaylen or you can use the Export to PDF function from the Menu.

We've observed that BIMx currently doesn't support vector PDF exports, which significantly limits its utility in our professional workflow. We would be immensely grateful if you could kindly advise whether there are plans to address this limitation in the near future, as it would greatly enhance our ability to deliver precise documentation to our clients.

I attached view of exported pdf.
