3D AutoCAD Export Problem - ArchiCAD 11

Hi,

I have a problem exporting an ArchiCAD V 11 model into AutoCAD 3D. Attached is the image that I saved from ArchiCAD V 11.

I am working with ArchiCAD USA V 11 - Build 1033.

I am using the same DWG translator settings in both the versions, but still with no luck.

I don't know if it helps. but you're 3 hotfixes behind. Help >Check for updates.

thanks for the response, I was not aware that I am 3 hotfixes behind intentinally skipped one of the hotfix because it had problems, I will download the latest one and get back

Checked with the latest build, but with no luck.

Did any one had this problem?

I haven't seen it. I think you should report it as a bug through your reseller. If possible, supply both your .pln, any custom materials, your saved translator and the dwg output you get.

Have you tried exporting it with a 3D translator such as IFC?

No I didn't tried it yet, but can AutoCAD directly open IFC or does it need an addon to open it?

No, no IFC with vanilla AutoCad, but AutoCad Architecture (former Architectural Desktop) has it.

What are you trying to accomplish?
The entire model to be used in autocad? autocad is 2D
2Ddrawings?
You might also be able to export the model as a library part, but even if that works is this going to be helpful?

Autocad is 2D, revit is 3D and the latter uses IFC.
