ACC issue with Archicad DWGs

Hi all!

Elsewhere, I wrote about the successful publishing to Autodesk Construction Cloud. Yes, it all publishes, BUT!

The published DWGs cannot be viewed on ACC.

Instead of the whole DWG, only the bottom left corner is seen.

Did anyone else have the same issue? I have checked with some of the European users, and they never had this issue. Could this be a location/used cloud server issue? Our excellent local reseller/support @Medialogic Support is on the case, but they are as baffled as we are, and so is the local Autodesk support.

We have tried opening the DWGs in Autodesk DWGTrueView and converting it there, opening it in AutoCAD, saving it from there, and nothing changes.

Ideas? Solutions?

Just now tweaked the Translator to MSpace, and some other details (getting rid of the penweights, as they usually create a messy file) aaaaaaand...

it works in Autodesk Viewer. "Only" issue is that all the images placed on the layout (all the logos of the stakeholders) are black. Lemme check that...

also works in ACC. "Only issue is that all the images placed on the layout (on the Master) are missing, although they are loaded in the same folder as the DWG

So, we can mark this as a "solution", maybe?

Does it make any difference if the DWG is saved as Model Space or Paper Space?

Does the same happen with the Autodesk Online Viewer? https://viewer.autodesk.com/

We're experiencing a similar issue.

ACC uses geolocated DWGs to navigate the model. We can't produce Layouts in DWG that link to the IFC we export.

Hi @Matyas Csapo

Yes, the same issue. See below.

Correct.

We did not try publishing to ModelSpace, as there is no point: the GeoLocation info is lost in the Layout.

BTW, the "geolocation" that we have seen in all the models coming from Revit, RVT or IFC, is placing the model at the actual coordinates. As you know. That is not geolocating...

... it is really frustrating when whole systems bend to the inadequacies of the products of the big boys...

... but hey, our origin/Survey Point works in IFC. It would be good if it worked in Layout, too.

Geolocation of Layouts published as sheets that are linked to an IFC is the most important part of Archicad / ACC integration. A make or break issue.
