Any thoughts on importing HEIC (apple/ iphone images) to ArchiCAD on windows systems?

This is a High Efficiency Image Container (HEIC) sample file to test the converter with if any one needs it. Or Microsoft Photos will open a HEIC file and then you save is as .JPG ArchiCAD only imports image files (5) types. HEIC is not one of them - yet.

This issue is not relevant to me but I tried to open this HEIC image in Microsoft Photos in Windows 10, and it tells me "We can't open this file".
Loving Archicad since 1995 - Find Archicad Tips at x.com/laszlonagy
AMD Ryzen9 5900X CPU, 64 GB RAM 3600 MHz, Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB, 500 GB NVMe SSD
2x28" (2560x1440), Windows 10 PRO ENG, Ac20-Ac27
It works for me. Also some of my photo editing software a automatically convert that file type when opened and it is just a matter of drag and drop to the ArchiCAD screen.

This is what the sample file looks like as a jpeg

Just to add to the discussion.
For Windows 10, I purchased a Codec called "View HEVC Video Extension" to allow Windows 10 to view HEIC images.
Also, I found out that I could adjust the settings in my iPhone to store images as jpg, instead of HEIC. Back to my normal.
Thanks!

Hi Kaihaku, do you mean to change the file format before importing it in Archicad? If you are looking to convert the file I recommend using a online converter for faster process. The one I use is Convert HEIC to PNG. You can do it with some of windows programs but this is just way more simple. I am working on some serious projects myself and still use this method. Cheers! Hope this helps.
