AC 10 Preview on Layout

In plotmaker in the Drawing Settings of the drawing you could select your preview on layout to be vectorial, bitmap, or frame only. In 10 when I move my drawing I seem to be locked into a Frame only view of my drawing in my layout. This makes it difficult to place the drawing since I can't see the contents. Can someone tell me where I can find the setting to make the view live (the old vectorial or bitmap setting) so I can see my drawings while I move them.

Is your drawing frame set to Fit to drawing?

Are you moving the frame (seelct the frame corner/edge) or are you moving the drawing within the zoomed frame?

You must actualise your view as actual window-view. It takes just seconds.
You find this button on right side.

Could you elaborate a little. When you indicate that you find this button on the right side, I am not sure on the right side of what you are referring to. Thanks....

I have tried it with the frame fit to drawing as well as manually resized. I am moving the entire frame by a corner/edge or by clicking inside the frame and dragging the frame. Every time all I get is a ghosted frame that moves with my curser.

How do I actualize my window view? I am not sure of which button on the right side you are referencing?

You have navigation preview, and left edge you can controll zoom and right bottom you can click the button, and on the bottom you can select "new drawing preview (or similar..)"
For big projects it is very nice function, it works very good for layout too.

Sorry for wrong information.
As Link said, it is impossible to pick preview from navigator for layout.
We can see but the preview from drawing editor (or selected drawing editor in USA version.)

With all due respect, I do wonder about this mate. I didn't think you could use the Navigator to preview layouts, let alone address a loosely related problem such as seeing the drawing's contents during any kind of move.

I believe viewing the drawing's contents during a move is simply unavailable in AC10, whether by design or not.

Cheers,
Link.

So what I think I am reading is that when I'm moving a drawing around inside its layout book frame (which I do with nearly every drawing) there is no way to see the drawing like we could in 9?? That sucks....

This is true, it has stepped backwards onto the wishlist.
