Creating a Label that Reports the Layer Name

Grubenstein
Booster

Hi All,

Has anyone worked out how to create a custom label that reports the layer name. I have some fills on a drawing that show the ownership of a site super imposed onto a 2d site plan. Each fill is on a different layer that has the Ownership Title reference. I would like to label each fill with the layer name

Any assistance would be much appreciated

Thanks

Kevin

Just use the Autotext for that.

If that is no option use rrr = request("GLOB_LAYER", "", str_layer).

Hi, thanks for that.

Do I simply enter what you have written into the autotext. Doesn't seem to work.

Thanks

Why not using a Text/Autotext Label whith the layer info? Custom label seems overkill

Hi Mathias,

Can you explain how please.

Thanks

I have a lot of fills so just want to click on the fill and tag the layer name. So dont mind setting it up if thats whats needed

Use the Text/Autotext label, then click on the marked button and select the appropriate entry:
