How to align story name and story level into a single line?

In my section, the levels are so close together that their text is overlapping. I don't want to reduce the text size as then it would become unreadable when printed. Is there any workaround here?

Here is a modified copy of Built-in Story Marker that displays the text on a single line

I simply copied the 2d script from the French version that I had already modified
